Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 22 October 2026
FarmersTag is a social network for Nigeria's farming community, on the website at farmerstag.com and in our mobile app. Protecting children is a basic requirement for everyone who uses it. This page explains our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report a concern, and what we do about it.
1. Zero tolerance
We do not allow any content or behaviour on FarmersTag that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers children. This applies to posts, comments, photos, videos, messages, profiles, marketplace listings, communities, events and every other part of the service. It includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including images, videos, links to it, or requests for it.
- Sexualised content or comments involving a minor.
- Grooming, or trying to contact a child for sexual purposes.
- Sexual extortion or blackmail of a child, and trafficking of children.
An account that breaks these rules is removed permanently.
2. How to report a concern
- In the app and on the website: open the ⋯ menu on any post, comment, profile or chat and choose Report. You can also choose Block to stop that person contacting you or appearing in your feed.
- Directly to our team: send us a message and start it with "Child safety" so we see it first. Please include a link to the content or the person's username.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. In Nigeria you can call the emergency number 112.
3. What we do with a report
- Reports go to our admin team's reports queue, where they are reviewed by a person.
- Content that breaks these standards is removed, and the account behind it is removed.
- Where the law requires it, or where a child may be at risk, we report to the relevant authorities, including Nigerian law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we co-operate with their investigations.
4. Our other safeguards
- FarmersTag is not meant for children under 13, as set out in our Privacy Policy. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we act on it.
- Members can block anyone and report any post, comment, profile or chat in the app.
- Message requests from people you do not follow must be accepted before a conversation starts.
- We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us.
